A local television station consulted with Cleveland Thermal to determine how monitoring their building’s performance with technology and analysis could improve their operating efficiency. To maximize the cooling product Cleveland Thermal delivers to their door, a thorough review of the customer’s mechanical equipment and historical energy usage was completed. Based on that review, Cleveland Thermal initiated an improvement plan.
The first step was installing a new building automation system and enhancing the building control programs. With these changes, the television station can optimize day-to-day building operations and manage how they use energy. The user interface and graphics visually represents the performance of mechanical systems and where and how energy is consumed.
With benchmarks established, the customer can now spot fluctuations in energy usage and identify whether they result from malfunctioning or underperforming equipment or human behavior.
